Dr. Nicole Chavarry

Dr. Nicole Chavarry has been part of the Kaibab Animal Hospital team as a Veterinarian since February, 2020.  She has a Cuban family from Miami, FL.  She met her husband in graduate school and followed him to Arizona for his residency.  Dr. Chavarry went to undergraduate school at Florida International University and vet school at Western University of Health Science, Pomona.  She got into veterinary medicine because she is a very empathetic and giving person.  She wanted to be a part of the human-animal bond and to help better the lives of people beloved pets.  Her favorite part of working at Kaibab Animal Hospital is client education.  She enjoys discussing patient’s issues and treatments in detail with clients so they can be part of improving their pets’ lives.

When Dr. Chavarry isn’t at work she enjoys spending time outdoors especially when she sit in silence and soak up the sounds and smells.  She misses the ocean but she gets to visit her family on the east coast often to get back to her mermaid roots.  She has two dogs and three cats.  Her dog Phoebe is a 6 year old spayed female boxer with a lot of medical issues.  Trin is a 6 year old black lab mix with only 3 legs.  She loves life and doesn’t let her disability keep her down.  Her cats include Ernie (the man of the house), Othelia the household princess, and Fergus the fearless kitten.
